On December 16th, 2005, Fun 4 Kidz, in collaboration with Community Partnership for the Homeless and Miami Homestead Speedway, hosted its inaugural event, a cocktail party and toy drive. During this benefit, community leaders, and sponsor athlete, Lauryn Williams came together at the Speedway to collect gift donations and introduce the organization to the City of Miami. Over 100 people came out to support Fun 4 Kidz, and donate toys to benefit the children at the Community Partnership for Homeless. The funds at the party were used to provide dance and basketball lessons to the children at the shelter. Just a week after the event, members of the board spent hours wrapping the donated gifts in order to present them to the children at the shelter.
